Kids Run Overview
The 10th edition of the MDI Kids Run will be held in Northeast Harbor on Saturday, the day before our marathon/half/relay.
All attendees must register in advance to participate.

The Kids Run will start and finish near the Great Harbor Maritime Museum located in the heart of town.

check in & Bib numbers
Check in begins at 10:00AM at the start/finish line, located at the Great Harbor Maritime Museum on Main Street in downtown Northeast Harbor.
All children need to be checked 30-minutes prior to the Kids Run start time.

COURSE TIME LIMIT
The Kids Run is 1 Mile in length and there is no time limit. However, if you find that you're the caboose, we suggest moving safely to the side to allow the limited local vehicular traffic to pass.
Parents/guardians are welcome to accompany their children during the run.

Crusher Claw Medallions
Kids Run finishers will receive a kid-sized signature crusher claw medallion after they complete the race.
All kids need to be wearing their official bib number on the front of their shirts during the race to receive their award. Medals to the first 100 who sign up and finish.

Rules of the road
The Kids Run is an untimed fun run, one mile in length.
The Mount Desert Police Department will be providing an escort.
The Kids Run course will remain open to local and race-related traffic. (Traffic is very light.) However, if you find that you are unable to keep up with the group, please move safely to the side.
Parents/guardians are welcome to accompany their children during the run.

Race Day Parking
Do not park at the start/finish area. Please park in the municipal lot off Sea Street or at the Northeast Harbor Marina. The start and finish is at 124 Main Street near the Great Harbor Maritime Museum.

Start SOUTH on Main Street, Northeast Harbor
Stay straight on Rock End Road
Turn LEFT on Barnacle Way/ Maple Lane
Turn RIGHT on South Shore Road
Turn RIGHT on Cove End Road
Turn RIGHT on Neighborhood Road
Turn LEFT on Main Street and run back to the finish!
